Trauma-informed, evidence-based programs that create lasting emotional intelligence and resilience for grades 8 to 12.

Unlike traditional programs, we go beyond just learning about emotions. We teach students somatic, bottom-up tools such as breathing, internal check-ins, mindfulness and movement to safely regulate emotions, manage stress, and build empathy for themselves and others.

USING INNER CHECK-INS FOR EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Using the evidence-based Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, students learn to connect to and support the internal “parts” of themselves that drive their emotions and behaviors.

8-WEEK PROGRAM OUTLINE

  • Establishing group safety and comfort, pre-assessment

  • Understand and practice pausing for self-awareness

  • Learn how to recognize the physical sensations of emotions

  • Identify the“parts” that influence your emotions and behaviors

  • Staying in the driver’s seat when your parts are challenged

  • Helping friends, family and teachers understand your needs

  • Learn empathy and patience as you and your parts grow

SELF-REGULATION FOR ANXIETY AND ADHD

Students from all backgrounds will benefit from this ADHD and Anxiety-centered program which helps students learn to manage impulsivity, create internal calm and increase focus.

MINDFULNESS TOOLS FOR MANAGING STRESS

A powerful program that helps students identify a variety of tools (such as breathing, meditation, movement and sound) to help them manage stress and build resilience.

8-WEEK PROGRAM OUTLINE

  • Establishing group safety and comfort, pre-assessment

  • Learn all about stress and its effects on our lives

  • Introduction to mindfulness and how it creates calm

  • Try out multiple breathing techniques and choose your fave

  • Learn the different ways you can meditate for self-regulation

  • Determine how bodily movements and music heals

  • Learn how to take mindfulness with you every where you go

What’s ALWAYS included in our programs:

  • 2 workshops each week x 1.5 to 2 hours long

  • Conducted by a state-licensed mental health provider
