The Divine Perseverance is a certified Minority/Woman Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) dedicated to providing trauma-informed and holistic mental wellness solutions. Our mission is to empower individuals and communities to heal, grow, and thrive through accessible, culturally competent, and evidence-based care.

Who We Are

We do more than “teach” about mental health and emotions.

At The Divine Perseverance, we teach individuals to be in relationship with themselves so they can build one of society’s most priceless skills: emotional intelligence.

We understand that emotional regulation is a skill that is not only beneficial to our mental health but is a preventative tool: for addiction, crime, suicide and other mental and physical health challenges.

Mentally Well Indviduals = Mentally Well Communities

We focus on teaching individuals somatic, bottom-up tools such as breathing, meditation, internal check-ins, mindfulness, sound and movement, so every participant learns how to safely regulate emotions and manage stress based on their own unique internal system. Safe people create safe spaces, and our work influences safety on the individual and collective level by starting with the Self.

About Our Founder - Alexia N. Smith

Alexia’s passion for mental wellness was born out of her own journey of healing childhood trauma and navigating life with invisible mental health conditions as a marginalized individual.

This journey not only shaped her approach to healing but also fueled her commitment to helping others discover their own resilience and wholeness.
