Hi! My name is Alexia! 😀

I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in the State of Maryland, who provides virtual counseling and therapy services to Maryland residents, and mental wellness coaching to individuals regardless of location.

I am also a facilitator of trainings, seminars, and hosting services for audiences needing mental health, trauma, and inclusivity-informed psychoeducation to serve themselves, their employees, employers, and community members.

My Training/Specializations

I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health/Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University Maryland, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgia State University, and have been recognized as a National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) Fellow. Although I have experience working with multiple mental health concerns, I really shine in areas dealing with grief and loss, anxiety, depression and ADHD, Spiritual exploration, self-compassion/acceptance and healing from childhood trauma.

My Coaching/Therapy Style

My therapy/coaching style is laid-back, conversational, humorous, and encouraging. I show up authentically in session so that you may feel comfortable to do the same. I believe in providing psychoeducation for my clients, which helps you understand the “why” of who you are and what you do. I’m not afraid to integrate other methodologies to help you understand your experiences (Zodiac signs, Numerology, personality types, etc.) and as a trained pastoral counselor, I can integrate elements of your spiritual identity with the therapeutic tools of psychotherapy. I consider myself a Person-Centered/Psycho-spiritual therapist, and I utilize varying interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques with my clients.

Testimonials

  • "While working with Alexia, I learned how to extend grace to myself in my grief journey and path to rediscovering who I am and yet to become. I have always been reflective and grounded in my spirituality; however working with her brought a new level of self-awareness and peace with myself. I can still go back to our many insightful conversations as a gentle reminder to keep going and moving forward."

    Anonymous - Grief Therapy Client

  • "I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with Alexia for almost 4 years. In her position she played a very solid and valuable part towards our students and the overall program. Not only did Alexia have a positive impact on me but she absolutely had a major impact on our young people. We look up to Alexia for her knowledge, honesty, kindness and free spirit. After having the opportunity to build a strong relationship with her I have learned a lot on how to just live freely! I now see and understand how she is the amazing person and therapist that she is."

    A.M. - Former Work Colleague

  • "I liked how well organized everything was. I appreciated the "pre work" of the mutual openness of sharing. This carried over into setting the stage of how truly safe the space was. I really enjoyed the opening and closing of cleansing our energy and setting intentions. I felt like we had a cocoon of Queendomness. I enjoyed every minute. I wouldn't change anything... you have a high level of professionalism and you truly SEE and HEAR us. Thank you for providing this opportunity!"
